Overview
The Technical Services department within pharmacy opened in September 2012 and holds an MHRA 'Specials' manufacturing licence. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy, non-sterile and pre-pack labelling and repackaging of medicines. The Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) department support the MHRA licence and also provide Quality Control support in regard to the preparation of radio pharmaceuticals for the Trust. The successful person will work within our repackaging and overlabelling unit and will be required to set up and prepare medicines made within Pharmacy Technical Services. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
In addition the post holder will be required to assist with the operation and maintenance of quality systems ensuring compliance with the terms of the MHRA Manufacturing "Specials" Licence in regards to all compounding and manufacturing processes.
The employee will be supported with external and internal training in pharmacy services and associated technical activities where required.
