Job Title: Business Development Manager – B2B IT Services

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Mon – Fri

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Location: Central Hull

Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, your birthday off, phone, laptop, car allowance, bonus, free parking, healthcare etc.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lead IT Provider based in Hull. They are well established in sectors including Education, Car and B2B across Yorkshire and having seen a period of growth they’re now keen to get to the next stage in their strategic planning by hiring a Business Development Manager who will concentrate on their B2B market.

The successful Business Development Manager will report into the Operations Director and be responsible for the following:

* Identify, qualify, and pursue new B2B sales opportunities

* Generate and nurture leads through outreach, networking, events, and digital channels

* Develop proposals, presentations, and tailored solution pitches.

* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools.

* Meet or exceed sales targets related to revenue, margin, and client acquisition.

* Work closely with internal stakeholders including IT and Operations to ensure the companies products and services are aligned with the markets need

* Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers

* Conduct discovery sessions to understand business challenges and align solutions with client goals.

* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.

* Partner with marketing to develop campaigns, events, and content that support lead generation.

* Provide feedback to product and delivery teams regarding customer needs, challenges, and market gaps.

* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company brand and capabilities.

* Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs.

* Analyse sales performance to identify areas for improvement and new growth opportunities.

To be the successful Business Development Manager you will have the following experience:

* Experience in a B2B Sales role with more emphasise on hunter/prospect acquisition with some account management

* An existing network of IT, Finance or B2B prospects would be advantageous

* IT or Software experience would be advantageous but not essential

* Proven ability to develop new business, close deals, and achieve revenue targets.

* Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

* Experience working with a CRM and automation tools like AI etc.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders including Technical and Operational Teams

* Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset.

* Strong problem-solving ability and consultative selling approach.

* Professional demeanour and ability to build trust quickly.
