Trusted by installers, merchants, civils contractors, and specifiers nationwide, we are expanding our commercial team and are recruiting two driven Area Sales Managers — one covering the Midlands and one covering South Wales.
The Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing sales across your region, working with builders’ merchants, civil engineers, installers, developers, and consultants. You will manage existing accounts while actively seeking out new business opportunities, providing technical support and delivering a first‑class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow sales within your assigned territory
* Develop strong relationships with merchants, contractors, installers, and specifiers
* Provide product knowledge, technical guidance, and on‑site support where required
* Proactively identify new business opportunities and convert enquiries into orders
* Deliver presentations, CPD sessions, and training to customers and partners
* Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and territory planning
* Represent Marsh Industries professionally at meetings, exhibitions, and trade events
* Support marketing initiatives and contribute to promotional campaigns
About You
We’re looking for a motivated, commercially minded sales professional with a strong customer focus and a passion for growth.
* Proven track record in field sales (construction, civils, wastewater, or related industries preferred)
* Strong relationship‑building and account‑management skills
* Ability to understand and communicate technical information
* Self‑motivated with excellent time management and territory planning skills
* Confident presenter with strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience selling into merchants, civils contractors, or specifiers
* Knowledge of wastewater treatment, pump stations, or underground drainage products
