Overview

Cod Beck Blenders is a trusted name in toll and contract manufacturing, serving a diverse range of industries including pharmaceutical, agricultural, agrochemical, horticultural, and fine chemicals. We partner with a prestigious blue-chip client base, delivering tailored solutions for ‘own label’ products with precision and reliability.

We are currently looking for a highly organised, dependable, and proactive Payroll / Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our dynamic accounts team. This is a dual-role position, offering a balanced workload split evenly between payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities (2.5 days each per week). You will report directly to the Financial Controller.


Responsibilities

Payroll duties

* Administer weekly payroll: collect timesheets, authorise overtime, print clock cards, and verify additional payments.
* Accurately input data into the Opera payroll system.
* Prepare and generate BACS payment reports.

Purchase ledger duties

* Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes.
* Process payment runs and reconcile unallocated payments.
* Reconcile monthly supplier statements and aged creditor reports.
* Serve as the first point of contact for supplier queries.
* Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements.
* Investigate and resolve queries efficiently.
* Assist with routine finance tasks as needed.


Qualifications

About you

* Proven experience in payroll and accounts.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Experience with the Opera payroll system is a plus—training will be provided.
