CMS is actively recruiting Paramedics to join our expanding team supporting event work across the United Kingdom.
Due to the nature of our contracts, ideal candidates must be drivers with their own vehicle, willing to travel, flexible, and available to work weekends.
Main duties of the job
* Operate ambulance equipment and respond to requests
* Communicate with patients and others to determine and use the appropriate ambulance equipment and paramedic skills
* Lead and coordinate emergency response teams
* Assess patients' conditions on scene and perform preliminary diagnoses
* Attend to injuries or illnesses, applying basic and advanced treatments
* Use medical equipment to stabilize patients or provide immediate care
* Monitor patient conditions en route to medical facilities
* Collaborate with relevant parties
* Follow medical protocols, legal guidelines, and safety standards
* Keep updated with new treatments through ongoing training
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families
* Document patient conditions and communicate with other medical staff upon arrival at healthcare facilities
* Maintain HCPC registration
* Ensure advanced driving skills are maintained and comply with legislation and the Highway Code
* Keep ambulance vehicles clean and report any damages or issues

Job responsibilities
The Paramedic role involves assessing, caring for, treating, and transporting patients in emergencies, urgent, and routine cases. It includes providing advanced clinical interventions, administering medications within PGD guidelines, and undertaking emergency blue light driving in various settings.
Responsibilities also include acting honestly, complying with governance, employment laws, and promoting equality and safety standards.
All staff must adhere to health and safety regulations, safeguarding principles, and confidentiality policies. The role requires flexibility to adapt to organizational changes, with all duties subject to review and discussion.
