The Mission: Secure Our Pilot Program
This is a high-impact internship for a motivated, sales-driven individual who wants to make an immediate contribution to a tech startup. Your primary mission will be to secure our first
2-3 pilot restaurant partners
in the Brighton area. This is a critical launch role, not a purely administrative position.
Role Description: Sales Pilot Acquisition Intern
This is a demanding, full-time, on-site internship located in Brighton. You will be responsible for the entire top-of-funnel sales process for our pilot program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pilot Identification & Outreach:
Research and identify local, forward-thinking restaurants in Brighton that would be ideal candidates for a technology pilot program.
* Cold Outreach & Pitching:
Execute targeted email, phone, and in-person outreach to decision-makers (Owners, GMs). Clearly and persuasively present the
cost-saving value
of Walnutpos's inventory and recipe costing features.
* Product Demos (Initial):
Conduct brief, high-level product presentations to generate interest and qualify leads for the pilot.
* Feedback & Collaboration:
Gather detailed feedback from prospects regarding their current pain points and system limitations to inform the final product development.
* Secure Pilot Agreements:
Successfully negotiate and secure commitments for 2-3 restaurants to begin using the Walnutpos platform as beta users.

* Full-Time Sales Role (Post-Pilot)20% commission
for every closed sale. Transition to a commission-only or base + commission sales role upon product launch.

Desired Experience (A Plus):
* Current enrollment in a Business, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship program.
* Prior experience working in a restaurant or bar
(wait staff, manager, etc.)—you understand their pain points
* Experience with cold calling or door-to-door sales (e.g., fundraising, membership sales).
