About the Role
Are you passionate about Health & Social Care education? Do you have the drive to lead a dynamic team and support learners in achieving their goals? Keighley College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Course Leader for Health & Social Care to lead curriculum delivery and quality across our provision.
As Course Leader, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of Health & Social Care programmes from Level 1 to Level 3. You will lead a team of experienced educators, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment, while developing strong links with employers and external agencies.
What You Will Do
1. Lead curriculum planning and ensure schemes of work and resources are current and effective
2. Monitor student progress and lead on interventions to ensure high achievement
3. Support teaching staff within the department
4. Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning standards
5. Work collaboratively with the Quality and Curriculum teams to meet internal and external benchmarks
6. Support the development of enrichment and work experience opportunities
7. Ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirement
About You
8. A relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
9. Experience teaching Health & Social Care in Further Education or a similar setting
10. Proven leadership or course coordination experience
11. A student-centred approach with a strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies
12. Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills
13. Up-to-date industry knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education
