Appointment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 35 hours per week, some flexible working will be required to include evening and weekend work

Location: Cathedral Centre, 3 Ford Street, Salford, M3 6DP

Salary: £47,664 - £58,628 per annum, 25 holidays, plus statutory bank holidays and 5 Diocesan closure days.

About: The Diocese of Salford is seeking a highly organised and proactive Building Surveyor to join or Property Department. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of our Property Strategy and be a key stakeholder in overseeing initiatives across our parishes. You'll manage projects from design to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting inspections, and liaising with contractors, consultants, and additional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage projects including design, tendering, and contractor management.
* Support property repairs, alterations, and insurance claims.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and prepare statutory approvals.
* Build strong relationships with diocesan staff and external parties.

Essential Qualifications:

* Accredited building qualification (degree level).
* Experience in construction and project management.
* Competent in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
* Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

* Chartered membership (RICS or equivalent).
* Experience in conservation and listed building projects.
