What you will do: The Event Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of events from initial enquiry and preparation through to completion. Working closely with the event management team, this role will involve administrative as well as hands-on tasks such as event preparation and operational team supervision. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the event management industry and gain practical hands-on experience in all aspects of event operations as well as event sales and business development experience. It is an ideal role for individuals who are passionate about events, eager to learn, and looking to advance their career in the event management industry. Your key areas of responsibilities:Provide full onsite event management, from event preparation, set up to breakdownFully brief, supervise and delegate the food & beverage team to ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the event.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of event spaces before, during, and after events.Assist clients and attendees, problem solving, and ensuring the smooth flow of activities of the each event.Coordinate with suppliers for quotes and communicate with clients to ensure timely delivery of event-related items.Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure all tasks are completed on time and according to specifications.Perform administrative tasks such as updating our CRM, event management software, menus, capacities, online representation platforms, etc.Manage event enquiries, create and send proposals as and when required.Assist with post-event activities, including gathering feedback and compiling event reports.Your areas of knowledge and expertise:Strong experience in a supervisory or floor management role within an events or restaurant operations team.Ability to understand and execute the requirements of each Banquet Event OrderExperience in upscale events operationsStrong experience in event preparation, setup and on-the-day organisation.Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed during event setup and breakdown.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required for events.What’s good to have: Knowledge of the art world and current cultural landscape as well as out of the box thinking and a passion for food and beverage and impecable service.
