Senior Planner - Energy & Natural Resources role at Turner & Townsend.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our busy and expanding Natural Resources and New Energies team, undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Projects/Programmes. The role provides opportunities to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced Planning & Scheduling community and wider Controls & Performance Network.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate within the Natural Resources and New Energies team on planning activities for high-profile projects and programmes.
* Provide planning processes, reports, and updates as a subject matter expert for complex projects/programmes.
* Guide the team on the appropriate use of systems and tools related to Planning & Scheduling.
* Support positive change by embracing challenges and opportunities for clients.
* Travel to client sites across the region as required (UK driving license essential).
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in using a standard scheduling tool (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.) is essential (willing to attend Primavera P6 training as required).
* Practical experience in construction schedule development and reviews (civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) is essential.
* Practical experience in schedule assurance and optimisation is desirable.
* Practical experience in complex onshore natural resources/oil and gas projects is desirable.
* Practical application of Earned Value Management (EVM) is desirable.
* Demonstrable experience with Cemar Contract Management tool or equivalent is desirable.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable.
* Formal training in Tilos Time location software is desirable.
Skills and Behaviours
* Ability to interact with Management / Leadership when delivering updates on planning progress within a complex project/programme.
* Ability to act as subject matter expert, delivering planning processes and related reports on complex projects/programmes.
* Guide the team on the appropriate use of systems and tools for Planning & Scheduling.
* Work to drive positive change and embrace challenges for clients.
* UK driving license or ability to travel to client sites as required.
