Jubilee Pool - the UK's largest and most celebrated Art Deco lido - is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join our team in Penzance, Cornwall. About Us Jubilee Pool is a community-owned social enterprise operating an iconic 1935 sea water lido with the UK's first geothermally heated pool section. Our stunning coastal facility welcomes thousands of visitors each season to enjoy swimming, wellness activities, and our café with panoramic views across Mount's Bay. The Role As our Safety Officer, you'll be the 'competent person' responsible for all health & safety and fire safety compliance. This includes managing our ISO9001 quality management system, developing risk assessments, overseeing safety training, and ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements. You'll bring your expertise in leisure facility safety, particularly with swimming pools, and help us maintain the highest safety standards across our seasonal operations. What You'll Need · NEBOSH Level 3 National General Certificate (or higher) · NEBOSH Level 3 in Fire Safety and Risk Assessment · Experience in leisure/swimming pool operations · Strong communication and team working skills Details · Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 18th May 2025 · Interviews: Week commencing 26th May 2025 · Part time, flexible hours · Up to £17 per hour (dependent on skills and experience) · Available as an employed role or freelance position · We are open to conversations about working patterns · Weekly hours will need to flex to reflect the seasonal nature of our operations · All hours to be worked on-site At Jubilee Pool, we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
