The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and improving user-focused services, working closely with stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure services are efficient, accessible, and meet GDS guidelines.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, user-centered design expertise, and practical delivery skills.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and iteration of digital and service experiences that meet user needs Apply GDS service standards to ensure high-quality, compliant delivery Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with multidisciplinary teams Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to translate service requirements into practical solutions Produce clear, compelling documentation and visualizations to communicate design decisions to stakeholders Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Service Designer, ideally in government or highly regulated sectors Strong understanding of GDS principles and experience applying them in real projects Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills BPSS eligibility is mandatory Desirable Skills: Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization programs Working knowledge of agile delivery frameworks and cross-functional team collaboration Reasonable Adjustments: Respect and equality are core values to us.
