Role Overview
The Assistant Practice Educator in Palliative Care is a fixed-term/secondment position for 2 years, offering an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Clinical and Professional Development, working across Scottish Borders Health and Social Care Partnership.
* Deliver effective education on palliative care and care around dying to health and social care staff.
* Maintain a presence in various care environments by delivering direct patient care and role modeling excellent practice.
* Support non-registered practitioners through coaching and discussions on current practices, evidence, and future trends.
* Develop public health initiatives related to palliative care in the community.
* Maintain professional practice within a clinical home in the specialist palliative care unit.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in delivering judgements and decisions for people with palliative care needs.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Commitment to lifelong learning and supporting education in palliative care.
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to high standards of quality care.
