Description/Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Recruitment, the Recruitment Specialist will support the daily operations of legal recruiting and business services activities for the London, Luxembourg, and Brussels offices. Responsibilities include managing the full 360 lateral recruitment cycle, coordinating the London Summer Associate Program, and engaging in candidate outreach and graduate recruitment efforts. The role also involves assisting with associate training and projects.
Responsibilities/Duties
Recruitment and Resourcing
* Assist in managing the PSL and agency relationships.
* Represent STB professionally at all times.
* Manage relationships with agencies during the hiring process.
* Keep candidates updated throughout their recruitment process.
* Liaise with Office Management/IT regarding new hires.
* Draft offer letters and ensure templates are current.
* Maintain and update recruitment trackers regularly.
* Work directly with hiring managers where possible.
Visa and Immigration
* Assist with immigration/visa coordination under the oversight of the Senior Recruitment Manager, liaising with UK Border Agency and external counsel as needed.
Relationship with International Offices
* Coordinate onboarding and new joiner processes with U.S. offices.
Onboarding
* Advise HR and Legal Personnel of any conflicts involving new associates and staff.
* Inform relevant personnel in London and New York.
* Ensure timely completion of background checks.
* Coordinate IT equipment provisioning for new hires.
* Work with assistants to complete induction schedules.
* Create a positive onboarding experience for new joiners.
* Manage first-day communications with new hires.
Invoices
* Track and process invoices related to recruitment agencies, immigration counsel, and other expenses.
* Support the Senior Recruitment Manager in preparing and monitoring departmental budgets.
Additional Administrative Duties
* Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills
* Degree-level education.
* Strong influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
* Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
* Discretion handling confidential information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
* Knowledge of document management systems.
* Sound judgment and attention to detail.
* Ability to build relationships.
* Excellent written English skills.
* Fluency in French is advantageous.
* Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems.
