Overview
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members. Like everyone here, as a Residential Senior Care Assistant, you'll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that's warm, welcoming and vibrant.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision and delegating duties on shift.
* Administer and order medications; review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
* Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
* Uphold dignity and preferences of residents; contribute to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Experience in a residential care setting with leadership skills; ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing.
* Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to individualized care.
