A highly reputable and experienced 5-year-established in North Yorkshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their dedicated Court Work/Care Proceedings team. This is a challenging and exceptionally rewarding role for a social worker with significant expertise in representing children within the legal system.
About the Role:
Conduct thorough assessments and prepare comprehensive reports for court proceedings, advocating for children's best interests.
Attend court hearings and represent children's voices in legal proceedings, providing expert testimony.
Work collaboratively with legal professionals, social workers, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and effective interventions.
Supervise and mentor junior social workers, providing guidance and support in court-related work and best practice.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services within the team.
Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to tight deadlines.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience working within a court setting, specializing in care proceedings, is essential.
Excellent assessment, report-writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and procedures relating to family court proceedings.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations.
