Agentic AI for Life Sciences
UK | Office based working during probation then can be on a hybrid basis.
We're launching a Graduate AI & Automation Engineer position centred around developing effective Agentic AI solutions for the life sciences, supporting the amazing work that our consultants do daily. Given the pace of change in this space, we're looking for engineers interested in getting deeply involved in the full pipeline of agent development—from meeting with our experts and analysing pain points, rapidly prototyping to validate approaches, and supporting on delivering effective, observable automations to production as part of a growing AI team.
What You'll Do
* Discover & Define: Work directly with consultants and domain experts to identify high-impact automation opportunities and understand business pain points
* Prototype & Validate: Rapidly build proof-of-concept solutions to test approaches before committing to full implementation
* Build & Deploy: Develop production-ready agentic AI systems with appropriate observability, monitoring, and reliability as part of a growing team
* Innovate & Iterate: Continuously explore emerging AI tools and techniques, contributing to our broader mission of innovation for patients and clients
* Collaborate & Communicate: Engage across the wider business, learning consulting processes and championing AI-driven improvements.
Who You Are
You're entrepreneurial by nature—someone who spots opportunities and moves quickly to develop MVPs. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and excited by the chance to shape how AI transforms business processes. You have the communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical worlds, and the curiosity to learn about activities across the business.
Any previous exposure to developing agentic systems or frameworks (e.g., Autogen, LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework) is valuable, however a general understanding of integrating LLMs into applications is more important, alongside any relevant software engineering experience—whether through internships, entrepreneurship, or personal projects. Practical ML experience would also be valuable, as there is plenty of scope in this role to work with the technologies that you personally find interesting.
Requirements

* STEM degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related discipline
* Communication skills: Ability and willingness to engage with the wider company, understand consulting workflows, and experiment with AI tools to improve them
* Entrepreneurial mindset: Initiative to spot opportunities, propose solutions, and drive MVPs forward.
* Familiarity with agent frameworks such as Autogen, Microsoft Agent Framework, or LangGraph
* Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments
* Knowledge of your own preferred workflows using AI coding agents (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code etc.)
* Experience transitioning MVPs to production systems, or previous software engineering internships.
