The Job Plan has 7.9 PAs of Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) which will be organised on an 18-week rota, and an additional 1.1 PAs for GIM work. The rota allows for Consultants to alternate working on busy and less busy days in order to equalise workloads. Majority of the DCC is covering the Respiratory ward, providing an in-reach service to the Clinical Assessment Unit, providing general Respiratory and cancer clinics as well covering pleural and bronchoscopy procedures. The job plan section in the JD is an indicative weekly timetable for the current staffing of 8 consultants.
A specific job plan will be agreed upon with the appointed consultant to meet the needs of the service. The Job Plan will be reviewed annually or upon request.
