The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for maintaining product assurance within the defined company processes and procedures.
The role holder is expected to drive improvements in the quality of the products and components provided to internal and external customers in the aerospace industry or used during the process of producing these products and components.
In the event of a prolonged absence, this role may involve deputising for the Program Quality Assurance Manager.
Responsibilities include:
1. Driving a proactive Quality Assurance mindset within cross-functional teams, acting as a mentor to Quality Assurance Engineers, and leading by example.
2. Acting as the focal point for site quality issues, interfacing between operational modules and the Quality assurance team, ensuring actions are defined, owned, and completed timely.
3. Maintaining and improving Quality Assurance through proactive involvement in processes and product compliance, identifying deviations and non-conformances.
4. Supporting the daily QRQC process, measuring process maturity, and implementing improvements.
5. Performing audits from the annual schedule, supporting investigations, and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
6. Supporting customer and business deliverables by promoting a quality mindset.
7. Driving management and ownership of non-conforming material through the MRB process.
8. Supporting change management for ongoing and historical changes.
Job Requirements
* Experience in a Part 21 manufacturing and/or Part 145 maintenance environment is beneficial.
* Experience with AS9100 standards and auditing preferred.
* Engineering qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards Part 21G and Part 145.
* Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills using tools like FMEA, Risk analysis, 8D, SPC, etc.
* Strong leadership skills, able to work with indirect and remote teams, and facilitate effectively.
* Self-motivated with good prioritization skills.
* Detail-oriented and objective.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Assertive with the ability to define priorities.
* IT literate, proficient in MS Office, capable of writing reports and presentations.
