Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Science Technician to join a secondary school in Bridgend. This role is ideal for recent science graduates or those with laboratory experience who are looking to gain practical experience in an educational setting.
You will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the Science department, helping to prepare, organise and maintain the resources needed for engaging and safe practical lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and set up practical experiments and demonstrations.
* Ensure laboratories, equipment and resources are maintained to a high standard.
* Monitor and organise stock of chemicals and apparatus.
* Support teachers and students during practical lessons.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
* A degree in a science subject or previous laboratory experience.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of lab safety and handling equipment/materials.
* A proactive and reliable approach to work.
