The role of Expert Witness Quality Specialist is available on a remote or hybrid basis, with some travel to the Daventry office.
THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Utilize your expertise to undertake quality assurance of medico-legal reports related to quantum and liability in the expert witness claim cycle.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Proofread complex reports and provide feedback to ensure quality.
* Guide Associate Expert Witnesses regarding instructions and legal processes.
* Support service delivery to clients and customers.
* Assist in meeting deadlines and service level agreements.
* Provide clinical or legal support to stakeholders.
* Mentor Associate Expert Witnesses as directed by the Head of Medico Legal.
* Participate in weekly case clinics.
* Support the Reports Team as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Background in Civil Law, Clinical Negligence, or Personal Injury, with experience in catastrophic injury litigation.
* Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years PQE.
* Ability to understand and calculate care/therapy costs from reports.
* Strong attention to detail and focus.
* Adaptability to changing timelines.
* Understanding of medico-legal claim cycle aspects.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Organizational skills.
* Line management experience is a plus.
