Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Support Worker to join East Riding Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise family time between children who are looked after and their parents, carers, or other significant people, ensuring sessions are safe, supportive, and in line with agreed plans.
* Support children before, during, and after family time, promoting their emotional wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
* Transport children to and from family time using your own vehicle, ensuring appropriate business insurance is in place.
* Observe, monitor, and accurately record family time sessions, producing clear, factual, and timely written accounts.
* Work in partnership with social workers, carers, and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children and families.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies, procedures, and professional standards.
* Contribute to assessments and planning by providing feedback and observations from supervised family time.
Requirements
* Experience of working in Education, Health & Social Care, or Children's Services
* Full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
