About the Role As a Mental Health Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional learning difficulties such as autism and ADHD. You will play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, engage in learning, and build positive relationships. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support to students Assisting in the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour strategies Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment About You We are looking for candidates who: Hold a degree in Psychology or a related field Have a genuine interest in mental health and child development Are patient, resilient, and empathetic Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Are considering a career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, counselling, or teaching Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential.
