Housekeeper/Cleaner (Part-Time - Temporary)
Summary
This is a temporary role for September and October. Housekeeping in a friendly & supportive team to clean all vacated rooms, make up beds, clean shower rooms and common areas such as kitchens, dining rooms & lounge. The role is 9am to 2pm, 5 days per week (Friday to Tuesday - 25 hours). We are easily located next to the Corran Ferry only 10-15 minutes drive from Fort William or Ballachulish and also with frequent bus services along the A82. The hours of this role also fits in well with parenting responsibilities.
Job Description
Cleaning vacated rooms including making up beds, cleaning en-suite shower rooms, hoovering and mopping floors to a high standard;
Cleaning common areas, including corridors, kitchens, dining rooms and the lounge;
Cleaning outside areas as necessary, including sweeping car park, verandha, decking, etc.
Helping out with the laundry as necessary (which is all done on site). This could include loading and emptying washing machines, dryers & using the rotary iron;
Returning all finished laundry back to the linen cupboards.
Candidate requirements
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and consistent team player to work in our friendly and busy team environment. The role is hands on cleaning to a high standard. We do look for punctuality in the role and a hard-working attitude, in a supportive working environment.
The most important requirement is a positive attitude. We will train you in the role and support you. If you have similar experience, it will be helpful but it is certainly not essential You will be working in a friendly & supportive environment.
The candidate should not have any issues with transport to work, either as a car driver or using the bus (the bus stop is 100m from the Corran Bunkhouse). We are very easy to commute to.
The candidate must live locally in Lochaber as no live-in accommodation comes with this role.
The hours are also perfect for someone who has school aged children.
