Reed Practice is delighted to be recruiting for a respected and growing accountancy firm based in Reading. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Outsourcing Supervisor to manage a portfolio of clients and support the continued growth of the firm’s outsourcing department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong client management skills and a background in outsourced accounting services.
Key Responsibilities
As an Outsourcing Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of outsourcing clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
* Overseeing bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, and other outsourced finance functions.
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
* Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance and support.
* Assisting with onboarding new clients and identifying opportunities for service improvements or additional support.
* Supporting the Outsourcing Manager and Partners in developing the department and mentoring junior staff.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
* Experience in an outsourcing or client accounting role within a practice environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and sector-specific requirements (charities and solicitors).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
* ACA/ACCA qualified (QBE candidates with strong experience will also be considered).
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and supervise junior staff effectively.
