Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence.
* Record incoming documentation on our database to keep records accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Team and role specifics
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, which is part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ members responsible for regulating the more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. The team is nationally dispersed and some travel and overnight stays will be required.

Additional information
This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). The role is national, so you can be based at any Environment Agency office. Some travel may be required.

Selection process
Competency questions will assess Data and Information Management, Effective Communication, and Focus on Customers and Partners. Applications may request you to provide STAR format responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to illustrate skills and experience. You may be asked to draw on examples relevant to data handling, communicating complex information, and customer-facing scenarios.
