To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Trust’s HR and Payroll function, ensuring efficient processes and timely responses to internal and external people-related inquiries.
HR Administration:
* Assist in developing and implementing administrative systems within the HR and Payroll function. Respond to or escalate internal and external HR inquiries from schools and management professionally and promptly. Support the preparation of HR reports, including absence, turnover, and workforce demographics, for senior leaders and schools. Maintain and update employee records for central trust employees on the HR system. Administer processes to onboard new employees, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and payroll deadlines, liaising with schools and trust HR to highlight and manage anomalies. Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining records (e.g., recording annual leave and audit schedules). Process employee benefit orders and update data in the employee benefit portal. Assist in updating HR policies and procedures.
Payroll/pension Administration:
* Support the Trust HR team to ensure the payroll provider has all relevant supporting documentation. Liaise with external payroll providers to resolve payroll or pension discrepancies. Administer central payroll processes, including shared parental leave, KIT days, maternity, paternity leave, and employee self-service. Process payroll calculations such as outstanding annual leave entitlements and term-time adjustments for leavers. Act as a first point of contact for payroll and pension queries, providing high-quality customer service. Contribute to identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective actions. Escalate payroll or pension queries in a timely manner in conjunction with the HR team. Liaise with external advisors, including payroll and pension partners.
Recruitment and Selection:
* Administer and process trust-level recruitment in conjunction with the HR team, including advertising vacancies, creating application packs, uploading vacancies to recruitment portals, communicating with candidates, assisting with interviews, and completing statutory checks. Assist in onboarding new employees, ensuring they are fully inducted into HR and payroll processes and systems.
General requirements:
* Provide administrative support across the Trust’s central team as needed. Attend and participate in meetings. Ensure compliance with the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies. Be aware of the requirements of the DPA, GDPR, and other legislation to maintain confidentiality. Undertake any other relevant tasks and necessary training. Travel to schools within the Trust when required.

The post holder will work within the policies, ethos, and aims of the Trust and carry out additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Line Manager. Flexible working patterns are expected to ensure all functions are fulfilled through direct dialogue with employees, contractors, and community members.
English Duty –
This role is covered under part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; therefore, the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
