Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.
What do you need?
* Previous experience working in a similar role within the UK (desirable)
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents and their visitors
* A commitment to learn about residents as individuals and to create ideas to improve life for the residents
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal
What hours will you work?
Shift times - 08:00 until 18:00
Total average of 35 hours per week.
You will work on a 3/4 shift pattern and weekend work is required.
What will you be doing?
* Supporting the catering service to residents in the home
* Preparing and set up meals and drinks
* Cleaning crockery, cutlery, utensils, containers and small-scale equipment manually and through machine
* Cleaning floors, work surfaces, furnishings and related equipment manually and by use of machine
* Complying with regulations in respect of Health and Safety at work, COSHH, Environmental Health and Fire Procedures

About Us
Cornerstone Healthcareprovide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Bristol & Mytchett.
