What you will be doing
as a Supplier Manager
1. Ensuring all supplier arrears have an up-to-date ETA
2. Deeply understand the causes of availability failure & actively manage performance improvement
3. Prompt resolution of items in Operations, Inbound Problem resolution, working with suppliers to prevent recurrence
4. Prompt resolution of invoice queries from finance, working to prevent recurrence
5. Ensuring all order exceptions are actioned promptly
6. All high-value orders are signed off appropriately and logged
7. Request order pull forwards where there is a predicted stock out before the next planned delivery
8. Support Data analysis & reporting
9. Manage customer queries and complaints relating to spares job orders/requirements
10. Create and maintain material master data to ensure smooth supply chain operation
11. Ensure the completion of daily tasks by the Supply Chain team, maintaining accountability and a focus on continuous improvement.
12. Purchase Order Compliance & Supplier OTIF
13. Availability/Job awaiting spares & non stocked parts recovery lead time
14. ETA & Comment coverage
15. Job backorder ETA & Comments coverage
Location – Your base location will be Didcot, Oxfordshire.
Working Hours – Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
16. Supplier or Inventory management, customer service or master data management experience
17. Data analytics to provide business insight and reporting
18. Excel and Microsoft Access skills to support data manipulation
19. Demonstrable problem-solving skills
20. Experience of working closely with other departments and teams, removing all silo activity
21. Strong communication skills
22. Experience of active role within projects
23. Master data management
24. Data interrogation, analysis and presentation
