Role: Modernisation Operations Manager UK&I

Carrier is now looking for a Modernisation Operations Manager UK&I who will be responsible for leading the Modernisation P&L and ensuring financial delivery of the Projects Business for the UK & Ireland.
Overseeing and driving the successful completion of Modernisation activities within the organisation. This role requires a visionary leader who can lead a team to manage complex projects aimed at upgrading and improving existing systems, processes, and infrastructure along with implementing strategies that enhance operational efficiency, leveraging new technologies, and ensuring the integration of innovative solutions whilst delivering a world class customer experience
What will the key responsibilities be?
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement modernisation strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
2. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, technical staff and sub-contractors. Provide guidance, motivation, and development opportunities to team members
3. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of modernisation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across Sales and various departments to ensure seamless implementation of modernisation initiatives
5. Customer: Deliver high quality of service and develop key strategic customer relationships
6. Performance Tracking: Set performance benchmarks and monitor project progress against these metrics. Provide regular updates and performance reports to stakeholders
7. Financial Management: Monitor project expenditures, take ownership of P&L and report on financial performance to senior management including accurate forecasting activities
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risk factors continuously and adjust plans as necessary to avoid project disruptions
Requirements
9. Experience: Many years’ experience in a large scale project management role, with a focus on modernisation or construction projects
10. Strong leadership and previous team management experience is essential
11. HVAC Industry knowledge preferred
12. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred
13. Proficiency in project management methodology, software and tools
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
15. Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
16. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
17. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
18. Financial acumen and budget management skills
19. Experience in change management and process improvement
