The successful Supply Teacher will have previous experience of working with pupils aged 11-16. As a Supply Teacher you will be expected to cover the day-to-day absences of permanent members of staff in our partner schools across Leeds and Wakefield. If you are new to teaching, becoming a Supply Teacher is a fantastic way to gain experience in a range of different schools. It is vital that as a Supply Teacher you understand the pivotal role you play in pupils' education. The absence of their usual class/subject teacher can have a significant impact on their learning, it is important that as a Supply Teacher you try to minimise this impact to the best of your ability. You will be someone that has excellent behaviour management skills and is confident in implementing behaviour management techniques. As a Supply Teacher, your time management skills will need to be superb to ensure you are successful. This includes arriving to school on time to give yourself time to familiarise yourself with the behaviour policy, safeguarding policy and the school IT systems.
