The Role
You will be supporting an individual pupil to develop positive self-regulation skills and improve their engagement with the curriculum. You will also be leading one-to-one activities with this pupil, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo. The pupil has a plan in place with established targets on it. You will be working towards these targets as well as reflecting on the progress made and creating new targets.
Main Responsibilities
Support individual pupil to develop positive self-regulation skills
Use pre-determined strategies to manage challenging behaviour
Deliver planned interventions
Ensure pupil safety and welfare is maintained at all times
Feedback to class teacher and SENDCo
Liaise with parents about progress/areas for development

Desirable Criteria
Team Teach training/experience
Education/Teaching Assistant qualification
Prior experience working in a school or nursery
