We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team at The Blackburn Vet. Our team has been caring for pets and their families in the Blackburn community since 1993. Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high quality veterinary care and building strong relationships with our clients and their pets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who enjoys supporting veterinary teams, building positive workplace culture, and ensuring smooth day to day operations of a busy veterinary clinic.
About the Clinic
Located in the heart of Blackburn, our clinic provides a full range of services including preventive care, small animal medicine, general surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics. We also offer cat boarding for our clients.
Our experienced team of veterinarians and nurses work closely together to provide exceptional care while maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and our team.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will oversee daily clinic operations and support our veterinary and nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient and client care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supporting reception and nursing teams
* Team rostering, recruitment and team development
* Managing client experience and service standards
* Financial oversight including budgeting, reporting and stock management
* Supporting compliance with veterinary regulations and clinic policies
* Driving process improvements and operational efficiency
* Maintaining a positive, collaborative team culture
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about people, pets, and practice operations.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Previous veterinary practice management experience
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities
* Financial and operational management experience
