An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor, supporting the delivery of major power transmission infrastructure projects across the Highlands.
Based in Inverness, you’ll be part of a dynamic site team working on technically challenging groundworks packages for high-voltage power projects — a key part of Scotland’s energy infrastructure upgrade.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out and surveying for groundworks and civil infrastructure on power transmission sites
* Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
* Ensuring accurate levels and positioning for excavations, foundations, ducting, and structures
* Supporting the management team to deliver projects on time and within quality standards
* Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives
* Maintaining accurate records and as-built data
* Promoting and upholding health, safety, and environmental standards on site
What We’re Looking For
* HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar discipline)
* Solid experience in a Site Engineer role, preferably within the energy, utilities or civils sector
* Skilled in setting out using GPS and total station equipment
* Ability to manage own workload and adapt across multiple phases/sites
* Strong understanding of safety requirements on high-risk infrastructure projects
* Full UK driving licence
