Job Description Overview My client are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in accurately estimating and monitoring costs for construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of stakeholders and contribute to the successful completion of diverse construction and property development projects. Day-to-day Collaborating with project teams to accurately estimate project costs Analysing cost data and preparing detailed reports Attending site visits and meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders Providing guidance and support to junior team members Reviewing and negotiating contracts and tenders Contributing to the development of innovative cost-saving strategies Responsibilities Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs for construction projects Managing budgets and tracking project expenditures Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery Conducting cost analysis and risk assessments Preparing tender documents, contracts, and valuations Mentoring junior team members and providing guidance on quantity surveying best practices Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on construction projects Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is a plus Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Proficiency in relevant software and tools (CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.) Proven leadership and team management capabilities In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
