Overview
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position involves leading a team of Quality Controllers and Auditors to ensure that all scheduled quality inspections are conducted accurately. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving any issues related to food safety, product quality, legal compliance, or other standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Quality Controllers and Auditors to ensure that all scheduled quality inspections are conducted accurately.
* Oversee the activities of quality inspectors and support the broader production team in addressing quality-related concerns.
* Verify finished products meet specified standards and customer expectations.
* Conduct thorough investigations, complete relevant documentation, and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders when quality issues arise.
Qualifications
* Relevant food industry qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Experience working within frameworks such as the British Retail Consortium (BRC) or similar standards is preferred.
* Familiarity with food laws, attention to detail, and certifications such as Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, or Internal Audit qualifications are highly desirable.
