Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Family Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time 37.5 role. We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders. What you\'ll be doing

As a Family Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families to address mental health challenges
* Facilitate family therapy sessions to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen family relationships.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary CAMHS team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Assess family dynamics and identify factors affecting the young person\'s mental health and wellbeing.
* Offer guidance and support to families to promote coping strategies and resilience during inpatient treatment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience in the field, be familiar with abstinence-based treatment principles, and hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling or a relevant addiction qualification. They must have full BACP accreditation and an MSc in systemic family therapy. Strong knowledge of family systems theory and proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in clinical or community settings is essential. Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to navigate complex family dynamics are key. Experience working in multidisciplinary mental health teams, along with strong problem-solving skills, emotional resilience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development, is also required.
