About the Role
As our Senior Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and manage the Product Assurance functions, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO You'll manage internal audits, resolve nonconformities, and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) across the organisation.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be a key advisor to functional leads, working closely with R&D, Operations and sales. Championing a "correct-at-source" approach, embedding structured problem-solving methodologies, and promoting continuous improvement. Your leadership will inspire a culture of quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain QMS aligned with ISO standards.
* Manage internal audits and ensure effective resolution of nonconformities.
* Drive APQP implementation, control plans, and compliance processes.
* Provide expert advice to senior leaders and strengthen customer relationships.
* Promote continuous improvement and celebrate team successes.
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing internal quality team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Degree in engineering, quality, supply chain, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Proven success in leading supplier quality teams in high-volume manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of engineering design, components, and manufacturing techniques.
* Experience in commercial, supply chain, and customer relationship management.
* Proficiency in QMS/EMS standards and methodologies (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Lean, Six Sigma).
* Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
* Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
* Experience with commercial cleaning equipment.
* Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, or AS9100).
* Membership of a relevant professional body (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent).
