We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our growing team. You’ll provide high-quality personal care and support to our clients in their own homes across Wolverhampton. Duties include assisting with daily activities, medication support, and emotional companionship.
Job Responsibilities
* Personal Care Support
* Medication Assistance
o Prompting or administering prescribed medication
o Maintaining accurate medication records (MAR charts)
* Meal Preparation
o Preparing and serving nutritious meals and drinks
o Supporting clients with eating and drinking when needed
* Companionship
o Providing emotional support and conversation
o Encouraging clients to participate in social or leisure activities
* Household Tasks
o Light cleaning, laundry, and household management
o Shopping and running errands on behalf of the client
o Observing changes in a client’s condition or mood
o Reporting concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals
* Record Keeping
o Documenting care visits, incidents, and daily notes accurately
o Maintaining confidentiality in line with GDPR and care policies
o Encouraging clients to do tasks for themselves where possible
o Promoting dignity, choice, and respect in all interactions
* Liaising with Families and Other Professionals
o Keeping family members informed of care progress
o Working alongside GPs, nurses, and social workers when required
* Compliance and Safety
o Following care plans and risk assessments
o Adhering to safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety protocols
Qualification Requirements
* Previous care experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
* A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
