As a Technical Project Manager in our Digital Services team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of public service delivery—leading projects that deliver innovative, reliable, and secure digital solutions.
About the Role
You’ll manage small to medium-scale technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders, you’ll oversee planning, risk management, and delivery, while ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.

Please note, this is a hybrid role and there is an expectation to work from County Council offices in Matlock as required to support collaboration and delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery.
* Managing project plans, budgets, risks, and resources effectively.
* Coordinating with technical specialists to ensure solutions meet business and security requirements.
* Engaging stakeholders across the organisation to maintain clear communication and alignment.
* Driving continuous improvement and promoting best practice in project delivery.
Who You’ll Work With
* You’ll work with the Technical Project Management team and work closely with the wider Digital Services team.
* You’ll collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, business analysts, and external suppliers.
* You’ll also liaise with departmental managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in managing technical projects, ideally within a digital or public sector environment.
* Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Familiarity with technical concepts and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for digital transformation.
* Confidence in managing competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
