Overview
We are recruiting a member of staff to join the Facilities Team at St Ann's Hospital. This is a part‑time multiskilled role combining housekeeping and catering duties in a friendly hospital environment. The role is 15.00 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 7.5 hours per day between 07:00 and 15:00 (hours may shift to cover service needs). Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence, with enhanced pay for weekend work.
Applications from candidates who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply.
This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset HealthCare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company from November 2025 or later. The subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff recruited by the subsidiary.

Responsibilities
* Porter duties – receiving deliveries and assisting unloading items such as stores, linen and catering deliveries.
* Cleaning – duties across the site, following NHS cleaning standards and the cleaning rota.
* Catering – support the hospital kitchen services. On-site training will be provided; experience is preferred but not essential.
* Driving – full UK driving license required to operate the hospital vehicle for meal deliveries to a nearby site.
* Training and support – full training, support and uniform provided; shadowing current staff to become confident in the role.
* DBS check – Enhanced DBS check required; Dorset HealthCare covers the cost. DBS update service members may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
Requirements
* Part‑time availability: Saturday and Sunday, with flexibility to cover additional hours as needed.
* Full UK driving license essential.
* Experience in cleaning or catering is preferred but not essential.
* DBS check required (enhanced).
