I’m currently working with a leading global consultancy to appoint an Associate Director – Quantity Surveyor to join their growing infrastructure and energy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior commercial leadership role, seconded into a major energy client delivering critical projects across the UK and Europe.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in the commercial delivery of high-value infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on HV transmission, substations, and wider energy networks. This is a client-facing position where you’ll operate at a senior level, influencing strategy, managing risk, and driving commercial performance across complex programmes.
This role offers clear and fast-track progression to Director level for individuals who demonstrate impact and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial management across major infrastructure and energy projects
* Provide strategic cost advice and contract management expertise
* Administer and manage NEC contracts (essential)
* Oversee procurement, cost planning, and financial reporting
* Engage with senior stakeholders across client and delivery teams
* Support and mentor junior team members
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior QS / Commercial Manager / Associate level
* Strong background in infrastructure or energy projects
* Direct experience with HV, transmission, or substation projects
* Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Commercially astute with the ability to operate at a strategic level
Working Arrangement
* Hybrid working model
* Three days per week in the client’s London office
* Two days per week working from home
