We are seeking a Cleaner who has the determination and valuable skills required to ensure our hygiene standards are met in line with New NHS Cleaning Guidelines. This is a multi-site role, and you would be required to travel between sites promptly. You may also be required to attend more than one site in a day. The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
What is High Cost Area Allowance? The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also known as London Weighting, is a payment made to employees working in London and surrounding areas. As this post is based in Dartford, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month.
* 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,258 per year and a maximum of £2,121 per year (the annual amount will be divided into 12 monthly payments).
The salary listed includes the High-Cost Area Allowance. The Site Management Team, Kent and Medway NHS, and Social Care Partnership Trust provide soft facilities services across the site. We have one full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts not exceeding 7.5 hours daily, scheduled on a four-week rotation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
Responsibilities
1. Complete the daily shift plan within the agreed time, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards meet NHS guidelines.
2. Conduct weekly departmental performance monitoring to maintain standards.
3. Maintain a patient-focused service across clinical areas.
4. Undertake general cleaning and domestic tasks to a high standard within designated areas, managing your own schedule.
5. Provide high standards of other Hotel Services tasks.
6. Collaborate with ward managers on ward cleaning and hygiene.
7. Dispose of waste according to Trust policies, adhering to Health and Safety standards.
8. Remove rubbish to designated collection points.
Candidates must have previous cleaning experience, basic knowledge of National Cleaning Standards, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand and communicate handover information effectively. The ability to work independently is essential. NHS experience is not required, so please apply if your skills and experience match our needs.
