Position Summary
GSK is seeking a Development Scientist to join our team in Montrose. This role involves performing analytical testing, specializing in method and instrumentation development and validation, non-routine API testing, technology transfer, data integrity, and ensuring pharmacopoeial compliance according to GMP standards. Responsibilities include designing protocols, analyzing samples, reviewing colleagues' work, and preparing reports with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, APIs, or other samples, including routine and non-routine tests, interpreting results, and executing protocols.
* Author protocols and reports as directed by the Team Leader.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work to GMP and safety standards.
* Peer review data generated by others and approve data for communication.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
* Use laboratory IT systems (e.g., ME-RP, KNEAT) at an advanced level, with permissions to approve transactions and support system functions.
* Assist in preparing facilities for Quality and EHS inspections, potentially leading or contributing to self-inspections.
* Participate in procurement, qualification, validation of equipment, and management of analytical instruments.
* Hold additional responsibilities such as acting as an admin for analytical equipment and ensuring compliance with data integrity regulations, including audit trail reviews.
