Job Description
SCOPE OF PROJECT:
This role supports Primavera P6 administration, including phone, on-site, and remote support to maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, or migrate Primavera P6 applications (client or web). It involves working with SCDOT staff and external vendors to ensure proper database connections (SQL and Oracle) for interfacing Primavera with SCDOT applications and other project management systems. Additionally, the role supports the tsaAdvet Falcon document management system (SQL) and coordinates with staff and vendors for enhancements and upgrades. The position also involves supporting AASHTOWare Project modules and AASHTOWare BrR/BrD for maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation, and upgrades.
DAILY DUTIES:
* Access the SCDOT virtual applications server to perform installation updates, data migration, support, diagnostics, resolution, patches, and administration of the latest P6 (client or web) releases.
* Provide support and guidance to users, SCDOT IT and engineering staff, and work with vendors on application issues, database problems, maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
* Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility and impact.
* Assist experienced support personnel in developing solutions for customer requests and system problems.
* Provide training and mentoring for users on new software features via phone, virtual, or classroom training.
Requirements
* Experience in designing and developing Primavera P6 applications.
* Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 architecture.
* Experience supporting Oracle and SQL databases, including error analysis and correction to maximize uptime.
* Proficiency with Java, Oracle, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
* Up-to-date knowledge of related infrastructure components and operating environments.
* Strong understanding of different database types and system integrations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to make system changes as needed.
* Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to delivery.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate as part of a team.
