We are looking for a Support Worker to join my clients children's residential home in Kendal, Cumbria. About the team The team works in line with a therapeutic approach to ensure the appropriate care and welfare of all children and young people is provided to create a home environment which exceeds their needs. The team ensures the children and young people are supported both day and night, averaging 1 sleep in shifts per week. The team are highly experienced in working with vulnerable young children aged 6-12, who have experienced trauma: whether that be neglect, emotional abuse, sexual abuse etc. About You A level 3 diploma in residential care is preferable however not essential to be considered for this role. A full driving licence is needed for this position. Experience within residential homes working with children who display challenging behaviours Minimum of a year working within this environment is preferable. Resilience, Persistence and Empathy. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
