We are seeking to employ a SEN Team Leader from September 2026.
Nailsea School aims to achieve excellence for all students, through outstanding teaching and learning. Our vision is to provide an inclusive environment for all learners, and the school is looking for someone with a strong commitment to improving the life chances of SEND and disaffected students.
Our SEN provision includes an ASD Resource Base, which supports learners from Year 7 to Year 11, and we have a large dedicated and established team which includes SEN teachers, HLTAs, Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.
We are seeking to appoint an SEN Intervention Team Leader who will be responsible for the timetabling, delivery and monitoring of a range of interventions designed to support our learners. They will also have oversight of a small group of intervention TAs who deliver the programmes, ensuring they have the necessary resourcing and support.
This role requires the individual to be self-driven, organised and flexible. it is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and inclusive school in North Somerset.
The successful candidate will need to have:
1. Solid experience of working with children with a range of SEND (preferably holding a T.A. qualification)
2. An understanding of the national curriculum framework and know how to adapt activities to suit the needs of the learner
3. Experience of delivering, monitoring and recording impact of small group and individual interventions
4. A good understanding of how to modify and adapt the school day to meet the needs of an individual child
5. An ability to be flexible, positive and good humoured; proactively seeking creative ways of meeting children’s needs
6. Good levels of written English
7. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

Grade 12 (Point 12-19) - £28,598 to £32,061 pro rata
Actual starting salary (pro-rata'd to actual hours): Point 12 - £18,255
Hours 27.5 per week TT + 3 INSET days
