The Role As a Junior Development Designer, you will create fantastic concepts for POS and retail collateral that will engage customers and entice them into making purchases at client’s retail outlets. Progressing an idea from a concept to a fully-fledged solution, you will prototype, test, finalise designs as well as supporting production processes. You will utilise SolidWorks and 3ds Max to create your finished designs as well as working from initial sketches and ensuring your design ideas are communicated effectively. Additionally, you will manage several projects simultaneously whilst ensuring all project documentation completed is accurate and suitable for manufacture. About You To be considered as a Junior Development Designer, you will need: - To be fluent in SolidWorks - Knowledge of 3ds Max is desirable - To be a creative thinker, able to conceptualise new ideas - The ability to take responsibility for client projects - The ability to ensure designs are fit for purpose - The ability to execute project and creative briefs - Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal - A great eye for detail - To be accurate and able to work to very tight deadlines - An impressive portfolio of existing work - To be educated to degree level in product, industrial and/or engineering design (BSc or BA) Experience in a product and/or development design role would be beneficial to your application, as would experience with Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience of producing 3D renderings using 3ds Max would also be advantageous, as would additional industry experience.
