Administration experience in a similar role is essential.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the Urgent Care and Reablement Service. Home First is a fast-paced and dynamic service, and the Business Support Officer role is a crucial function within the team.
You will be responsible for managing your own workload; therefore, the ability to multitask and work to timescales is crucial.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Answering and appropriately responding to telephone calls from staff, service users, and members of the public.
2. Overseeing staff annual leave and sickness, with guidance from managers.
3. Booking and overseeing staff training, with guidance from managers.
4. Raising purchase orders and monitoring the financial spend of the purchase card.
5. Maintaining staff information, keeping personal files in good order and in line with GDPR and confidentiality standards.
6. Managing your own projects to improve administrative functions within the service.
7. Supporting the recruitment and induction of new starters, with management guidance.
8. Documenting records of conversations/discussions on the council electronic records system.
9. Minute-taking of all informal and formal meetings.
10. Performing any additional administrative tasks required by the team.
