Senior OPERA PMS & OHIP Data Integration Specialist – Hotel – London
Daily rate: £500 - £600 (inside IR35)

We’re looking for a unique hybrid profile, someone who understands how hotel operations behave inside OPERA PMS and can translate that into clean, reliable data via OHIP APIs.
You’ll act as the bridge between hotel operations, Oracle OPERA, and our data platform, ensuring that what happens at the front desk is accurately reflected in downstream systems powering pricing, marketing, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
OPERA Scenario & Data Behaviour Mapping
* Break down complex operational scenarios in OPERA (multi-room bookings, routing, share-withs, night audit, folio settlements)
* Translate UI actions into underlying data behaviour and lifecycle states
* Identify edge cases (no-shows, cancellations, profile merges, reservation changes) and how they impact historical data
OHIP API Strategy & Data Extraction
* Act as SME for OHIP REST & Streaming APIs
* Identify the correct endpoints and payloads for real-time and historical data
* Design logic for polling vs event-driven architectures (webhooks/streaming)
* Handle rate limits, retries, and data consistency challenges
* Use tools like Postman to explore and validate API behaviour
Data Mapping & Architecture Support
* Create detailed source-to-target mapping documentation
* Map OPERA data (via OHIP) into our Data Lake / Warehouse
* Ensure accuracy and consistency across all business scenarios
* Troubleshoot discrepancies between OPERA UI and downstream data
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Product, Data Engineers, and Architects
* Validate data against real hotel workflows
* Ensure outputs support use cases like personalization and dynamic pricing
Skills:
Must-Have
* 5+ years hands-on experience with OPERA PMS (v5.x and/or OPERA Cloud)
* Deep knowledge of:
* Reservations & Front Desk
* Cashiering & Folios
* Profiles & Rate Management
* Night Audit processes
* Proven experience with OHIP (Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform)
* Strong understanding of:
* REST APIs & JSON
* API testing tools (Postman or similar)
* Ability to map API payloads back to real OPERA behaviour
* Strong analytical mindset — you enjoy digging into data inconsistencies
Nice to Have
* Experience building or supporting:
* Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
* Data Warehouses / Data Lakes
* Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
* Experience working with hotel groups or hospitality SaaS platforms
